Shop Update

Thank you for your patients while my shop has been closed down for the last few weeks.  I have been working around the clock to catch up on orders after not being able to work for a few days due to the tornado that hit and loosing power.  I have officially finished all my May wedding orders .... YEA!!! And have started on my June weddings... so June brides: rest assured your toppers will be on the way SOON!

I plan on opening back up no later than this Thursday and will be accepting a few more August ... but NOT many!  My father is going to be having 2 major surgeries this summer and I am going to be helping my mother take care of him and his business so I will be unable to take as many summer orders and will be closed my shop for a few weeks throughout the summer.  SO if you've been thinking about ordering.... sooner is always better!

Thanks again!!!!

MIA..... Missing but very much In Action

It took a few months but I am finally coming up for air!  :)  It has been an amazing and extremely busy past 3 months... thanks to my wonderful customers!
So what I have been up to my elbows in painting recently....
BRIDES.... GROOMS.... & PENGUINS!!!!
Yes.... penguins!  I was commissioned by the Fort Worth Zoo to make 50 African black footed penguins & 50 Rockhopper penguins for their annual Valentine's Benefit Penguin Party... where you can adopt a penguin in someones name as a Valentines gift.  Great idea... huh!

So here are a few of those little ones.....

In addition, a very sweet couple asked me to make 260 brides & grooms for them to give as wedding favors at their wedding!  WOW... you don't really realize how many 260 is until you are hand painting each one.   But I enjoyed making them and knowing they were going to give them to all their friends & family!!!

So here is 260 pegs of the beautiful couple! :)

I have also listed a few new wedding toppers designs in my shop... here are a few!

Oh My... You Twisted Tornado

Yesterday, while my babies were at MDO and I was at
home alone.... yes, painting.... a tornado ripped through our city!
I have lived in Texas my whole life and am very familiar and
unfortunately very desensitized to Tornado Warnings/Watches.
It is a very common occurrence during the Spring.  The threats usually ends up being
nothing or hit a field or small rural town that I have never heard of....
(not that it makes it any less traumatic or devastating to that small town!)
But yesterday was different!!!  I have been on my knees before in
prayer before but nothing like I was yesterday.  As I crouched under a comforter in
our dark hallway and listened to the freight train shake our windows and blow past our neighborhood... I prayed unlike ever before!
Thankfully my prayers  and so many
others in Arlington were answered.  Many homes near us were damaged but as far as
I know of right now, no one was injured or lost their life!  Praise GOD!

So as of right now my poor little studio is dark and lonely.  We have been without power since
the tornado hit and thankfully have been able to make camp at my
parents house.  We have no idea when they will be able to restore our
electricity but I plan on going to the house tonight to hopefully grab as much as I can
to start working on orders.
I promise all wedding orders will still arrive in time for your big day and if you
have questions about your order, please feel free to contact me.  And in advance, thank
you for your patients while I try and get back on track! :)

Oh... and if you love a good twister...
here's a short video of the tornado that hit in our area.  Our neighborhood is
directly to the right of the highway.  Creepy but amazing!
